Bengals touchdown song????????

Alright Bengal fans. A friend took me to a preseason game down in Cinci on my last visit to Ohio and all was good until your Bengals scored a touchdown. What the hell is up with the fight song. It was like listening to the american idol outtakes. I almost stood up and started snapping on 1 and 3. The worst part was that everyone was loving it so much and singing right along. It didn't flow or anything. I don't know who wrote this thing or how they got everyone to buy into it, but it was the worst fight song I have ever heard. I was praying that they didn't score so I wouldn't have to hear it again.
Will someone please tell me where this came from and why you all like it so much. I'll accept donations to write you a new one if you want.

The song - Bengals Growl was written by a close friend of Paul Brown. His name was George Bird. It probably has been around about as long as the Bengals. For those that have not heard it, it sounds like a 3 piece orchestra playing with the following:

Its old, corny, and we all sing it when they score. We are old school who like traditional things. And this is one that I hope stays.

Overall I thought it was a good season. Definitely full of ups and downs (Chris Henry, playoffs). We'll be back next year!
